OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS

Art Bra Show 3

Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) and Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation are preparing to host the third annual Art Bra to bring awareness to the plight of breast cancer in Sacramento and its effects on all women. Please join us for a special tribute art show to help bring awareness and raise funds for these two organizations. Women's Wisdom Art, a program of SFBFS, and the Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation will be hosting Art Bra Show 3 on September 8-18, 2010.

All area artists are invited to participate and create a special piece of art to be displayed in September of 2010. Using the bra as a symbol, we invite you to sculpt, paint, stitch and embellish. Remember that breast cancer touches all of us.

Accepted medium: ceramic, watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, pen and ink, mixed media, collage, metal, textile art. Artwork must include or suggest a bra in some form. All artwork must be suitable for hanging or displaying and no larger than 32"x 40". All artwork is for sale. Proceeds from this show will be divided between Women's Wisdom Art at SFBFS and Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation.

• Sept. 1st - final day to drop off art
• Sept. 7th - show opens at 20th Street Gallery
• Sept. 9th - artist reception
• Sept. 11th - Second Saturday reception
• Sept. 30 - show closes

Finished art pieces will be on display September 7-30, 2010.
Deliveries' of artwork no later than Sept 1.
