Score a Win Against Breast Cancer
Sacramento Republic Football Club is hosting an innovative fundraiser called On Target, in lieu of their annual ‘More Than Pink Night’.
Albie Aware On Target Night:
When: October 3, 2020
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Opponent: Portland Timbers 2
With non-profit events on hold and the stands of Papa Murphy’s Park empty, Republic FC has gotten creative. For the remaining matches of the 2020 season, Republic FC will have 4 targets placed behind the home goal – each corresponding with a local non-profit. When the Portland Timbers 2 misses a shot – and smashes the Albie Aware target, we will receive a $500 donation from the Indomitable Club.
Let's hope they hit the Albie Aware target a lot!
Sacramento Republic FC MLS stadium project still on schedule
Sacramento Republic FC officials say their stadium construction project is still on schedule despite the coronavirus pandemic, which has halted non-essential construction.
This 20,000-seat stadium by the barren railyards site, is expected to be in use for the 2022 season.
The $300-million stadium will take up nine acres of a 14-acre parcel that includes a new courthouse and housing, both with a scheduled summer start date, that is expected to double the size of downtown Sacramento.
Together, let’s kick breast cancer out of the park… for good!
