Albie Aware Announces Courtney Quinn as Executive Director

SACRAMENTO, CA (August 30, 2021) – Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation Board of Directors announced today the appointment of Courtney Quinn as its Executive Director.

“The Board and I are excited that Courtney has joined Albie Aware,” said Board President Chris Fahey. Chris shared, “As a breast cancer survivor, Courtney, understands first-hand what it is like to be one of our clients fighting breast cancer. Her passion is matched with two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector. We look forward to Courtney’s leadership in our foundation serving the greater Sacramento area.”

Courtney joins us from San Diego where she was most recently the President of Women’s Wine Alliance, a nonprofit organization that advances the education of women wine professionals. She previously served as Development Manager of Corporate Partnerships for The Old Globe and as Board Relations Coordinator for Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation. Courtney received her Master of Arts in Leadership Studies and Nonprofit Management from the University of San
Diego.

Courtney stated, “I am honored to join Albie Aware, an important life-changing organization in the Sacramento area. Unfortunately, too many people’s lives have been affected by breast cancer, including my own. It’s terrifying to hear that you have cancer and what makes it easier is when community rallies behind an individual. Albie Aware provides that compassionate support as well as patient advocacy and other services. I’m excited to work with the Board, medical partners, our donors and community to support individuals facing or fighting breast cancer.”
